Your action-packed day starts with a Marine Cruise with your choice of catamaran or speedboat in the morning. You’ll get a chance to see flying pelicans, seals, the Walvis Bay Harbour, old boat wrecks, dolphins and even whales and turtles during season!

After your first lunch on the boat, your skipper will take you back to Walvis Bay, where your Sandwich Harbour 4×4 guide will meet you with one of our Landrovers. From there, you’ll begin your excursion to the Kuiseb River Delta to see majestic flamingoes, the saltpans and the wetlands just north of the Lagoon.

If weather and tides permit, you can drive right to the Sandwich Harbour Lagoon; one of Southern Africa’s richest and unique wetlands. There’s time you to the walk 4-5 km along the lagoon if tides are too high for the vehicles. Alternatively, you can view the spectacular lagoon area from one of the many exquisite lookout spots.

If you get hungry, your guide will stop and dish up a light meal with snacks and salads, and of course oysters with sparkling wine! A perfect treat on your African holiday. On the way back you’re treated to views of giant dunes before returning to Walvis around 16h30.
