Days 1 - 3
Johannesburg a vibrant cultural capital
Day 1 – Pretoria Departure
Check in at 10:00 at the Blue Train Station Lounge at Pretoria Station, where you'll enjoy pre-departure snacks and drinks. Boarding begins at 12:15; your butler escorts you to your luxurious suite and provides an orientation. The train departs at 13:00, travelling east towards Kruger National Park. A five-course gourmet lunch is served from 13:30–15:00. High tea follows at 16:00 in the Non-Smoking Lounge Car. Dress for dinner and enjoy a multi-course meal in one of two sittings (18:00–20:00 or 20:30–22:30). After dinner, relax in the Club Car with cognac and Cuban cigars before retiring to your suite.

Day 2 – Kruger National Park Safari
The train arrives at Numbi Station around 05:00. Disembark into open safari vehicles for a sunrise game drive led by professional guides. Keep an eye out for the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo—as dawn lights up the bushveld. A bush breakfast is served at an exclusive unfenced location within the park. Later, return to the train for a leisurely five-course lunch from 12:00–15:45. In the afternoon you'll transfer back to Numbi Gate for a sunset game drive on the Nkambeni concession, exploring approximately 11 400 hectares between the Numbi and Phabeni gates. After the drive, enjoy a spectacular boma dinner at Nkambeni Safari Camp featuring an interactive cultural performance. At 22:00, return to the Blue Train and unwind with post-dinner drinks in the Club Car before sleeping in your plush suite.
Day 3 – Return to Pretoria
Breakfast is served from 06:00–09:00 on a first-come-first-served basis. Relax in the lounge cars or your suite as the train makes its way back to Pretoria. At around 10:00, the Blue Train arrives at Pretoria Station where butlers escort guests to the Arrival Lounge. Your Kruger National Park Blue Train Experience concludes with unforgettable memories of both safari and rail luxury.
