Days 1 - 11

Cape Town and Rovos Rail to Chobe

Day 1 – Arrival in Cape Town

Arrive at Cape Town International Airport where a Travel Republic Africa representative transfers you to your chosen hotel: the Table Bay Hotel** or *Portswood Hotel. In the afternoon, take a City & Table Mountain tour. Ride the cable car (weather permitting) to the summit of Table Mountain for panoramic views over Table Bay, False Bay and Robben Island. Afterwards, explore Company Gardens, the Castle of Good Hope, the South African Museum and the vibrant craft market at Greenmarket Square.

Day 2 – Cape Point & Peninsula Tour

Drive along the Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay to the fishing village of Hout Bay. Enjoy a boat trip to Seal Island (weather permitting) to view Cape Fur seals. Continue along the dramatic Chapman's Peak Drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, home to endemic fynbos and abundant wildlife. After lunch in Simon's Town, visit the African penguins at Boulders Beach and return to Cape Town.

Day 3–4 – Leisure in Cape Town

Use these days to relax or book optional experiences such as a Winelands tour to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, shark-cage diving in Gansbaai or a scenic helicopter flight over the Peninsula. Your Travel Republic Africa consultant can arrange additional activities.

Day 5 – Cape Town → Rovos Rail

Transfer to Cape Town railway station to board the Rovos Rail. This luxury train evokes old-world glamour, with vintage carriages and attentive service. Depart for Pretoria, passing through the winelands and Karoo. Along the way, stop at the historic village of Matjiesfontein and visit its Victorian museum. Continue to Kimberley for a tour of the Diamond Mine Museum and the Big Hole, the world's largest man-made excavation. All meals are included on board.

Day 6 – Rovos Rail to Pretoria

Enjoy a leisurely day on board the train as you head north through South Africa's heartland. Savour gourmet meals in the dining car, relax in the lounge and watch the changing landscapes from the observation car. Arrive in Pretoria, the Jacaranda City, in the late afternoon or early evening and overnight on board.

Day 7 – Pretoria → Johannesburg

Disembark the Rovos Rail in Pretoria and transfer to Johannesburg. Check into either the Peermont D'oreale Grande** or *Peermont Mondior** ** near OR Tambo International Airport. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, perhaps exploring Sandton or visiting the Apartheid Museum and Constitution Hill on an optional city tour.

Day 8 – Johannesburg → Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

After breakfast, transfer to OR Tambo Airport for your flight to Victoria Falls. On arrival, transfer to your chosen hotel: the Victoria Falls Hotel** or *The Kingdom Hotel. In the late afternoon, relax on a sunset cruise along the Zambezi River, enjoying drinks and snacks while spotting crocodiles, hippos and elephants.

Day 9 – Victoria Falls Exploration

Join a guided tour of Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Walk through the rainforest and feel the spray as millions of litres of water cascade into the gorge. The afternoon is free for optional activities such as helicopter flights, bungee jumping or a traditional Boma dinner.

Day 10 – Victoria Falls → Chobe National Park (Botswana)

After breakfast, drive across the border into Botswana to reach Chobe National Park, famous for its immense elephant herds. Check into Chobe Game Lodge** or *Cresta Mowana Lodge** ** on a full-board basis. Spend the afternoon on a game drive along the Chobe River or a sunset boat cruise, witnessing elephants, hippos, crocodiles and a myriad of bird species.

Day 11 – Chobe National Park

Enjoy a full day of safari activities. Choose from morning and afternoon game drives or river cruises. The park's diverse ecosystems provide excellent opportunities to observe lions, leopards, buffalo and antelope, as well as hundreds of bird species. Between activities, relax at your lodge and take in the natural beauty of Botswana.

Day 12 – Chobe National Park → Johannesburg & Departure

After a final morning game activity, transfer to Victoria Falls Airport for your flight to Johannesburg. Connect with your international flight home, carrying with you memories of cityscapes, luxury rail journeys, thundering waterfalls and wildlife encounters.
